Students whose mother tongue is not English and who would like to study in English later on, must have proof of their language skills such as a good TOEFL test result. The Institut auf dem Rosenberg offers students intensive preparation with a so called «mock test» at the end of the course.
The TOEFL-course normally meets for 25-30 English lessons
of 40 min. duration from Monday to Saturday; it includes
supervised study time and regular practice lessons. At
the end of the course, the students receive a performance
evaluation.
This course provides an ideal setting for acquiring and
consolidating the techniques required to enhance the student’s
performance.
- A structural approach enables the student to analyze
Listening Comprehension, Grammar, Textual Analysis
and Essay Writing in a more systematic manner by focusing
on what is essential.
- Innovative teaching materials not only stimulate
and expand the student’s general vocabulary,
but they also introduce the academic vocabulary in different areas including social studies and science, which is
tested by TOEFL.
- A broad spectrum of exercises that mimic the actual
exam are presented by the instructor and thus serve
to contextualize this course.
Formal attire according to the House Rules of the Institut
